Washing & care
The 10-second version

Spot clean as you go. Hand wash cold when it needs more.

The artwork on the sides is the part to baby — rubbing, tumbling and heat will wear it long before the rest of the cap shows any age. The peak keeps its shape from a thin stiffener inside, so quick washes beat long soaks. Machines and dryers do everything wrong at once.

Everyday marks

  1. Dab the mark with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap, working in small circles.
  2. Fingertips only over the crest and the side artwork — no brushes, no scourers.
  3. Wipe the soap away with a clean damp cloth and let it air dry.

When it needs a proper wash

  1. Fill a basin with cool water and a little mild detergent. No bleach, no soakers.
  2. Dunk and swish it gently. Give the sweatband an extra rub with your fingers — that is where the grime lives.
  3. In and out — do not leave it soaking. The peak holds its shape best when the wash is quick.
  4. Rinse clean, then press the water out in a towel. Never wring or twist a cap.
  5. Reshape it and dry it over something head-shaped — an upturned bowl works. In the shade, never a dryer, radiator or car window.
White marks on a dark cap are usually dried sweat, not damage. They come out with the wash above — clean sooner rather than harder.
